Black and White Photography

By adding a black and white filter to a photo, it can make it look elegant and sophisticated. Often these pictures can give me inspiration for my own photography. It can make a simple picture look really edgy.
Stripes - The new trend

Clutch - Lulu Guinness
-£325

This fashion must-have can be worn as a clutch or across the body bag.
Its not too much of a statement but keeps in the trend.

Clutch - River Island
- £25
If you can't splash the cash on the lulu Guinness clutch then this high street alternative allows you to be on trend and buy shoes to match!

DKNY

This season DKNY have included stripes in a lot of their designs. The shoes themselves are quite a statement. The clothes however ,are definitely more wearable. The stripes look playful yet professional. They could be worn for work or for a casual day out. Add some black heels and silver accessories for an evening look.

Who wore it better?

Christina VS Angelina

Dress - Michael Kors
This dress is a classic red carpet look.

Christina completed her look with silver accessories. Her make up was quite heavy with bright red lips.

Angelina kept her look simple with matching black accessories. Her makeup and hair looked natural and casual.

clutch and heels - Jimmy Choo

Angelina wins with the minimal look, it leaves all attention on the jaw-dropping dress.

                                          Jennifer VS Kim

dress - Herve Ledger

This dress is very unusual. With the nude body and lace shaping it shows off the classic hourglass figure.

Jennifer looks classy. Her red lips add colour and brings the outfit together.

Kim has added a clutch to her look. Her bouncy hair makes the whole outfit look glamourous.

Kim wins this because her dress
and hair together looks
perfect for the red carpet. Minimal lipstick and smokey eyes compliment the beige tones within the pattern of the dress.

 Ashley VS Deepika
dress - Dolce & Gabbana

This dress takes a classic look and adds gold sparkle for an elegant, outgoing feel.

Ashley has added a black clutch to her outfit. Her makeup is natural and complements her skin colour.

Deepika has smokey eyes and red lips, which is very red-carpet. Her wavy blonde hair brings out the red lipstick.

Ashley wins, her tanned skin and dark hair go beautifully with her dress and make it look luxurious and very greek goddess!

13 FOR 2013

1) Prints

Daisy prints- Prada
Geometric - Peter Pilotto
Checkers - Topshop

These patterns can be matched with simple jeans or if you are feeling brave why not wear double patterns.

2) Cara Delevingne

2013's new style icon. She usually keeps her style casual, with jeans and jackets. When going to an event she often wears long dresses for a more elegant, red carpet look.

3) Veiled looks

Dress - Gucci
Dress - Stella Mccartney

This seasons must have trend is the veiled look. It has been featured in many collections such as - Stella Mccartney, Roberto Cavlli and Pucci. This look is really effective if worn over a block colour or geometric pattern.

4) Black

Dress - Alice and Olivia
Shirt with Trousers - Michael Kors
Coat - Chanel

This season black is back. It has been a big theme in many collections. It's quite a striking look and it can work with an all black outfit or with a block colour.

5) Bright Lips

Lipstick - Prada

Coloured lips can bring any outfit together. You can keep it simple with natural pink colours or make a statement with black or red!

6) Fringes

(Below) The Dior Catwalk included a lot of fringes. The fringe can help to frame the face. Designers such as Prada used models with fringes because it gives them an edgier look on the catwalk.

7) The new Kate Moss look

Throughout the years Kate Moss has been a style icon. Recently she has changed her look.

Kate wears Christian Louboutin shoes and blazer from her own Topshop collection.

Her look  has recently changed from biker jackets and boots to playsuits and girly heels.

8) Juicy Couture's skinny jeans

This seasons Juicy Couture jeans are a stylish basic for your wardrobe! If you're not brave enough to go for a colour or pattern you can go with black or white. They can go with loads of different tops such as baggy jumpers or you could dress them up with heels and a blazer.  The patterned jeans can create an effective statement piece.

9) Hermes Bag

Hermes Birkin Bag - £13,500

These bags are the perfect accessory. They come in a selection of colours, although the brighter ones may not go with as many outfits. If you wear a lot of black however you can brighten your outfit with one. Although they are expensive they are very good quality and can last a life time.

10) Michael Kors watches

Silver - about £175
Rose Gold - about £165
Gold - about £185

These watches are a must have accessory of 2013. They can be matched with other jewellery such as a cuff or charm bracelet. Why not add a lot of bracelets in varying colours to be doubly as fashionable for the New Year, creating the ever popular "Arm Candy" effect!!

11) Marc Jacobs Perfume

Lola - 100ml £62
Dot - 100ml £62
Daisy - 100ml £55

These perfumes are the smell of 2013. The fruity smells last for a long time and aren't over powering. They have pretty bottles too! My favourite is Mark Jacobs Daisy as it is a light fragrance which lasts all day and night.

12) Benefit Mascara

Mascara- £18.50

Fake eyelashes can often be a bit of hassle. If you aren't skilled with fake eyelashes this mascara is for you. It gives the effect of fake eyelashes by creating more volume and enhancing the lash length.

13)  Christian Louboutin shoes

Black - around £495
Leopard - around £495
Diamonte- around £1,500

These shoes are famous for their striking red soles. They come in a selection of colours, and patterns. The black pair, being the classic and most worn. However the more unusual designs are making more appearances.
